Hi folks! Well it's been a busy year for us since the wedding so we've put a few pictures up below so you can see what we've been up to. Greg and I are LOVING our new home and neighborhood. We have great neighbors and really feel part of a community here. Work still keeps us busy but we both really enjoy what we do and the people we work with. The Treasure Valley has become a great home for us with lots of things to do and wonderful friends we have made. Not to mention how lucky I am to live by my folks and brother and his family. We will continue to work on all our out of town relatives trying to get them to move up here with us.
We look forward to spending time with friends and family as they come visit us this summer and fall. It seems most of Greg's family has plans to head on up to Idaho this fall, we are excited to see them. Also we are making our first camping trip up the beautiful Sawtooth National Forest at Alturas Lake the end of the summer with some friends. Fortunately we now have a working heater in our tent trailer in case it gets a little chilly, which at that elevation is very likely. Our trip to Yellowstone wasn't so lucky as we snuggled under layers of blankets as a light snow fell. It was a priceless memorable trip though and looking back we wouldn't change a thing.
Earlier this spring we took a fabulous honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean. We saw 8 different islands over 11 days. Greg and I both fell in love with cruising and the beautiful islands we saw. In particular we found Aruba's beaches and warm water wonderful for snorkeling, St' Lucias dramatic terrain and warm people were a pic favorite of our too, and Grenada has very pretty quiet beaches that were just a fun jet boat taxi away. It was very hard to get back on the plane in Puerto Rico and fly back to Boise. We made some great friends on our cruise and look forward to keeping in touch with them and meeting more friends on future cruises.
Until we can plan and save for our next big trip though we are thoroughly enjoying spending time up in Cascade and McCall, Idaho. It seems the everyday stresses and obligations just fall away when we break out into Round Valley south of Cascade. We both start grinning and planning what little hike we are going to do on that trip. We have taken our mountain bikes up as well which was great fun. We wind up sitting out by the lake on our beach chairs at the end of the day with a book watching the skiers and boats go by. We pretend we are practicing for our retirement someday.
